The Norman Blake Collection - a limited edition of 12 guitars. There will only ever be 6 brazilian rosewood and 6 mahogany 12-fret dreadnoughts, signed, approved, and endorsed by Norman Blake.

These instruments honor two of his most iconic 12-fret dreadnoughts, the 1934 converted Hawaiian dreadnought, and the 1933 shadetop herringbone dreadnought.

Built to Norman’s spec, and with his detailed input, these guitars feature an ebony reinforcement rod and bar frets. A true compression fretted instrument. The Norman Blake Collection is built with our highest tier upgrade Brazilian Rosewood and/or Mahogany, along with our premium grade torrefied spruce tops and bracing, finished off with a custom finish formulation that completes the package.  Own a piece of history, hand signed and endorsed by a legend…

The Norman Blake Collection features a label and a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Norman

All the labels and certificates are printed on archival permanent acid-free paper, signed with acid-free ink. The documents will be protected in an archival permanent envelope. When the opportunity to work with Norman came along, it only made sense to go all the way- taking what we had learned with our standard 12-fret models, and adding bar frets, and an ebony rod to the equation, along with some very specific notes and observations Norman made about those two particular guitars. To be honest, we were both surprised at the results. These guitars are responsive, incredibly lightweight, and dynamic in a way that is totally different. We truly feel like we’ve captured something special. It isn’t very often you get to build something for one of your heroes (although we’ve somehow gotten to do it more than once). Presenting our work to the wizard was an experience for the ages. The man is a living legend, and an inspiration to us both, so it was a little daunting, to say the least. Norman loved these guitars and was happy to get behind them. It is our distinct honor to bring you the Norman Blake Collection.” -Ben and Wes
